GDC 2007 - plaguebringer
I returned home from San Francisco just over a week ago and I still haven't recovered from the infection that I caught on my return flight. It has set up shop as a nice entrenched case of acute bronchitis. This has put a bit of a monkeywrench in the whole "follow up with people" element of post conference life. (See Darius's blog on weak ties if you are unsure of the importance of this step.) I won't let any more time pass on this, though. It's just too darn important.
Overall, I have to say it was a pretty good GDC for me this year, even though it was the first year that my heart stayed in NJ with my daughter. I probably bored some people to tears with making my desire to be back home and holding her known. Actually, everyone was quite excited for me, and I'm grateful for the support I received.
So, I'm going to get my thoughts together, go over my notes, and post some of my personal highlights from this year's conference.
